This was our first project to restore a listed building. TAB Construction performed the contractor's work in the capacity of general contractor. The company carried out renovation works of the entire complex. Roofing work, strengthening of the part under the rafters and partial replacement of the roof (roofing stone) over 400 m2. We worked closely with the factory Monier, with whom we found the optimal solution and chose a stone that is as close as possible to the existing one. Facade work. Heritage conservation artists-restorers were invited to the object, thanks to whom it was possible to completely restore the building's original colors as they were at the beginning of the 20th century. Restoration and restoration of balconies. Here it is worth noting that there were difficulties in strengthening the 2.5 m long 50x50 balcony handrails with a 90-degree angle and a 180-degree bending angle. I would especially like to mention the help of Mr. Martin Kärner (OMA Fassaad OÜ). He helped to find optimal ergonomic solutions and supported us at all work stages.
This building received an award from the Estonian Heritage Preservation Society for the restoration of the exterior of the building.
